Ariana Pedrosa is a certified Alexander Technique practitioner, certified Body Awareness for Musicians practitioner, and orchestral bassoonist dedicated to integrating somatic education into musical performance. A graduate of Université de Montréal (DMA '19, MMus '07), her pioneering research explores Brazilian musical syncretism in bassoon repertoire.

As a bassoonist and contrabassoonist with the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra and faculty member at the University of Toronto (2019–2021), she bridges professional performance experience with evidence-based pedagogy. In addition to her teaching and research, Ariana Pedrosa has conducted workshops at various universities.
